Dr. Kay Brown is an economist by training. She holds a PhD from the University of Cape Town and her research interests have always focused on social policy making and implementation, and its impact.

Joana is a Programme Manager at CABRI and leads our capacity building programmes in support of institutional capabilities across Africa.

Danielle works as Acting Programme Manager, assisting African countries to improve their public debt, cash and risk management practices.

Giselle joined CABRI as a Programme Manager in January 2024.

Prior to secondment to CABRI in January 2022 to lead the Public Debt Management Programme, Jim Matsemela served as a Chief Director Strategy & Risk Management (Head of Middle Office) in the Asset & Liability Management Division (Debt Office) of National Treasury, South Africa.

Rajeshree is the Head of Operations and Finance at CABRI. She is an accomplished professional with over 35 years working experience in both the private and non-profit sectors of the economy.

Ashani is responsible for the planning and execution of CABRI events, including dialogues, workshops, conferences and seminars.

Soonsyra Lowe Nicolas is Gambian-Spanish and joined CABRI in 2019. Soonsyra leads our Partnerships and stakeholder portfolios as Stakeholder Liaison Manager.

Priya leads the Marketing and Communications department of CABRI. As Marketing and Communications Manager, she is responsible for building an effective and coherent communication policy to enhance the image and optimise the visibility of CABRI.

Charmaine is responsible for the financial administration of the organisation which includes preparing for CABRI’s annual audit.

Jade is a finance and administrative assistant and contributes to the financial administration of the organisation.

Refilwe Esau is the Marketing and Communication Coordinator at CABRI. With a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, she has extensive experience in communication, marketing, and media relations.

Mary has supported the CABRI team since 2013 as an office administrator. She has almost a decade of experience in the professional cleaning industry.
